SALARY DAY

In a conditioned room as clocks do tick,
hours whizz in a mouse click,
as day so dawns with nightlong yawns,
It is so forlorn like lost sojourn.

Yet a hope makes java a solemn lake,
As mundane hours idle past,
The thought of this day makes hearty desires,
As the poverty days swindle away,
The month long yearnings finds a say .

Ding Dong Ding Dong!
bells ring all day,
the sparrow dives to sing today,
The calendar reads it is salary today.
